# Can I buy more than one eSIM for the same destination?

Yes, in theory you can buy multiple eSIMs for the same destination. As noted in our “[Can I have multiple eSIMs installed at once?](https://skratch.crisp.help/en/article/can-i-have-multiple-esims-installed-at-once-1hm6x5c/)” article, most devices allow you to have several eSIM profiles but only one or two active at any time. 

In this scenario, you could let a family member or friend scan the QR code of your duplicate eSIMs for a given destination. Installing multiple eSIMs for the same destination isn’t recommended if you already have one active within its validity period since you can just top this up should you require more data.
