# If I’ve signed up with SMS, can I also link an email?

Yes you can! We recommend adding an email to your account to provide an extra layer of security and backup.

To link an email to your Skratch account, follow these simple steps:

* Open Skratch
* Tap your profile icon in the top left 
* Tap your name/username at the top of settings
* Add an email you would like to link to Skratch
* Verify the new email with a code
* You’re all set!
