# Why is my eSIM data connection slow?

Skratch eSIMs offer the best possible connectivity in destinations all over the world. If you are experiencing slow eSIM data, this could be due to regional coverage, network congestion, or prioritization of the local carrier.

# Checklist for your eSIM data connection 

* Check your device’s signal strength indicator to ensure you have a strong signal. If you don’t, it could be due to your location (i.e. if you’re somewhere remote)
* If required, check your APN settings as per our instructions [here](https://skratch.crisp.help/en/article/how-do-i-update-my-apn-settings-1h14wnx/) 
* Restart your device. The classic solution but often this helps refresh any network connection issues or technical glitches!
